Corky’s Renovates Flagship Restaurant on Poplar,

Adds Delivery Through UberEATS

 Renovations feature open space floor plan, upgraded lighting, and additional televisions for more lively, communal dining experience. Delivery through UberEATS will be available as well.

MEMPHIS, Tenn., April 27, 2017 – Corky’s BBQ recently completed renovations at their flagship restaurant at 5259 Poplar Ave. which feature an open floor plan, three widescreen televisions, brighter interior lighting, and modern food plating for a livelier Memphis dining experience. While the Corky’s drive through has always been popular, patrons will be able to have Corky’s delivered to them via UberEATS, which started April 20.  

“When my father, Don Pelts, opened Corky’s in 1984, he wanted to create a place to truly experience Memphis through barbecue, and we feel these renovations reflect that spirit by opening up our dining room and adding televisions,” said Barry Pelts, co-owner of Corky’s. “We are excited to be one of the first restaurants offering delivery through UberEATS starting April 20. For years, people have loved to experience Memphis and Corky’s through dine-in, mail-order, takeout, and through grocery or retail stores. Now we can deliver straight to their door from our Poplar restaurant with UberEATS.”

 Along with taking down partitions in the main dining room, Corky’s installed three televisions so customers can watch the Grizzlies while they enjoy the best barbecue in the world. New interior lights were also installed to make the classic Memphis memorabilia and artwork stand out. Corky’s signature dishes and sides will soon be served on tin trays and butcher paper for a genuine Memphis BBQ experience.

 Beginning April 20th Corky’s BBQ can now be ordered and delivered through UberEATS and https://www.ubereats.com, an online meal ordering and delivery platform. Customers can order anything from the menu straight from their phone, tablet or computer to have a hot meal within 30 minutes.

 “We hope Memphians and out-of-towners enjoy the atmosphere and new services that were crafted with our loyal customers in mind,” said Pelts.
