Caesars HEROs Recognized for Over Ten Years of Service with Memphis VA Medical Center
TUNICA, MISS., May 17, 2018 – Employee volunteers referred to as Caesars HEROs from Horseshoe Casino & Hotel and Tunica Roadhouse Casino & Hotel in Tunica, Mississippi were recently recognized for their efforts and partnership with the Memphis Veteran Affairs Medical Center at the annual awards luncheon recently. Volunteers received a plaque for their dedicated services and were honored for over ten years of volunteer efforts.
“We are so thankful to the Caesars Foundation, Horseshoe Tunica, and Tunica Roadhouse for providing over ten years of dedicated service at the Memphis VA Medical Center,” said Debra A. Burns, Chief of Voluntary Services, Memphis Veteran Affairs Medical Center. “The HEROs have consistently participated in our most impactful events for the hospital and are committed to continually support our veterans and the Mid-South community.”
For over 96 years, VAMC Memphis has been improving the health of the men and women who have proudly served our nation. They provide services more than 196,000 veterans living in a 53-county area of western Tennessee, northern Mississippi, and northwest Arkansas.
“We are humbled and honored to have been recognized for our ten years of dedicated service at the Memphis VA Medical Center,” said R. Scott Barber, Regional President, Caesars Mid-South. “Caesars is committed to supporting those and their families who give of themselves to ensure we continue to enjoy the liberties this great country was founded on. We make a point to have cookies and coffee at the Memphis VA Medical Center every month and enjoy a few big events a year such as the spring cookout and our Christmas gift parade.”
