Evelyn Homs Medero, Executive Director of Multicultural Marketing & Business Development at St. Jude to Speak on “Marketing to the Latino Community” at AMA September Luncheon

 

MEMPHIS, Tenn., August 25, 2017 – Evelyn Homs Medero, Executive Director of Multicultural Marketing & Business Development at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will deliver a discussion entitled “Marketing to the Latino Community” to the American Marketing Association Memphis Chapter at their September luncheon sponsored by VACO Memphis.

The September luncheon will take place at Sara’s Place at the Memphis Botanic Garden on Thursday, September 7 and will include catering by Fork it Over. Tickets to the American Marketing Association September luncheon can be purchased on Eventbrite at this linkhttps://www.eventbrite.com/o/ama-memphis-chapter-7512124335 and cost $15 in advance and $25 at the door for American Marketing Association members and $25 in advance and $30 at the door for non-members. The American Marketing Association is extending member rates for the luncheon to Latino Memphis and Nonprofit Marketers.

Evelyn Homs Medero Bio

Evelyn Homs Medero is the Executive Director of Multicultural Business Development at ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She has more than 15 years of professional experience in the multicultural marketing and business development industry.

At ALSAC/St. Jude, Evelyn is responsible for leading efforts to increase engagement and support from multicultural audience segments by combining executive management, vision, communication and business development planning skills to pilot internal change and spearhead a Total Market Strategy.

In collaboration with divisions across the organization, she focuses her efforts on growing the Hispanic, African American, Asian American and Arab American programs at St. Jude, which generate more than $78 million in donations each year, as well as the overall annual contribution of our multicultural donors, which represents more than $230 million each year to help find cures for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.  Evelyn currently leads one of ALSAC’s top strategic initiatives and is responsible for building meaningful and sustainable multi-channel and multi-dimensional strategies on a national and multi-regional level to position St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as the leader in multicultural philanthropic development.

Prior to ALSAC/St. Jude, Evelyn managed the U.S. Hispanic Marketing Communications department at StarMedia Network, Inc., the first pan-regional internet portal for Spanish and Portuguese speaking audiences in New York and Miami.

Evelyn graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a bachelor of arts in Journalism and Mass Communication and a concentration in Advertising and received an Executive MBA from The University of Memphis.

Evelyn is married to Juan Ramón Quiles, Jr. and she currently has two daughters, Natalie Grace and Isabella Elena.
