Class Reflects a Diverse Mix of Experienced Leaders Who Are Ready to Impact Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn., August 28, 2019 – Leadership Memphis, whose mission is to prepare and mobilize leaders to work together for the good of the whole community, is proud to announce the Executive Program Class of 2020. The diverse group of 81 executives is comprised of experienced leaders across multiple community spectrums, including business, nonprofit, government, education, faith, neighborhoods, and professionals.

“I am very excited about our 2020 Executive Program Class,” said David Williams, Leadership Memphis President/CEO. “They have already demonstrated a desire to gain a deeper understanding of the Memphis community and how they can leverage their combined experience and knowledge to impact Memphis.”

Over nine months, Leadership Memphis Executive Program participants are immersed in an intensive experience aimed at building on existing personal and professional leadership skills to develop relationships and networks that drive and accelerate positive change. The program leads participants through monthly learning sessions, increases exposure to high-profile and effective leaders and organizations, and offers expanded engagement with the challenges facing Memphis today and opportunities for the Memphis of tomorrow.

Leadership Memphis executives comprise a powerful forum for understanding the strengths and challenges of our metro area, exploring the importance of collaboration, and demonstrating the power collective impact has to take Memphis to the next level. Since 1979, Leadership Memphis has continually developed new ways to engage and create more effective community leaders. Leadership Memphis develops community change agents, connects them with others who have a passion for serving, and empowers them with information and opportunities to make a difference.
