“Caesars Entertainment is proud to support the Memphis Food & Wine Festival, and we are delighted that Caesars Palace has helped arrange for Chef Guy Savoy to share his peerless culinary talents at the Memphis Food & Wine Festival to benefit FedExFamilyHouse, which offers housing for out-of-town families with sick children being treated at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital,” said R. Scott Barber, Regional President of Caesars Entertainment Mid-South, which includes Memphis Food & Wine Festival sponsor Horseshoe Tunica. “The Memphis Food & Wine Festival provides a great opportunity for foodies in the Mid-South to experience one of the world’s great chefs and support a worthy cause that does so much to help sick children and their loved ones. We would like to thank Gary Selesner, President of Caesars Palace, and Chef Guy Savoy and their teams for making this possible.”
One of the few chefs in the world to have earned a three-star rating from the prestigious Michelin guide, Savoy is the proprietor of restaurants including Restaurant Guy Savoy, considered one of the world’s finest tables with locations in Paris and at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Restaurant Guy Savoy in Paris, France, was named the best restaurant in the world by La Liste. The list factors in 300 international dining guides, review sites, plus newspaper and magazine reviews. A native of Lyon, France, Savoy received the Legion d’Honneur, the country’s highest honor, in 2002, and that same year he was honored by his peers as Chef of the Year. Savoy also operates four other restaurants in Paris, including Le Chiberta, which earned its first Michelin star after only six months of operation. The opening of Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace in 2006 was one of the most eagerly anticipated restaurant openings in the United States. Savoy is also the author of cookbooks including “Guy Savoy: Simple French Recipes for the Home Cook.”
“Caesars Palace is happy to support our Caesars Entertainment sister properties in the Mid-South as they give back to the community through the Memphis Food & Wine Festival,” said Gary Selesner, President of Caesars Palace. “Memphis is in for a real treat as legendary Chef Guy Savoy brings a taste of true luxury to the Memphis Food & Wine Festival to support FedExFamilyHouse and the great work they do to help patients of Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. I know Guy is really looking forward to sampling the local BBQ and all the great food Memphis is known for. Me too!”
