Atomic Rose Grand Opening Weekend Includes Friends For Life Fundraisers and Drag Show Featuring World-Renowned LBGTQ+ Entertainers
MEMPHIS, Tenn., September 3, 2019 – Atomic Rose is featuring some of the biggest names in LGBTQ+ entertainment along with a weekend full of events and specials for their Grand Opening Celebration and Friends For Life Fundraisers September 6 through 8. Friends For Life is a Memphis-based organization dedicated to preventing the spread of HIV and helping those affected by HIV/AIDS live well. Friends For Life Fundraisers include a Bearlesque show Friday featuring entertainer Eric Leue. Leue is best known as Mr. L.A. Leather 2014, an HIV/LGBTQQIA Activist, and Model for The Hunger Games Capitol propaganda poster, “District Heroes.” The cover charge will be donated to Friends for Life and is $10 for general admission or $20 for VIP admission that includes food and drink specials. Other opportunities to donate to Friends For Life at Atomic Rose are by purchasing the Atomic Rose Signature drink The Atomic 806 as half of all sales of The Atomic 806 on Friday night will be donated to Friends For Life and cover charges Wednesday, August 4; Thursday, August 5; Friday, August 6 and Sunday, August 8 will be donated to Friends For Life.
“We are extremely excited to partner with Atomic Rose, the newest, hottest dance club in Memphis, for their grand opening weekend,” says John-Michael Alderson, Director of Development and Community Engagement for Friends for Life. “We are very appreciative of their support in the community and invite all our friends to come out for what promises to be a wildly fun weekend.”
A top talent drag show will take place Saturday, September 7 with world-renowned drag queens Akasha Cassadine; The Princess, star of RuPaul’s Drag Race and entertainer at PLAY in Nashville; Coco Flores, Keleigh Klarke, and Bella DuBalle. The cover charge Saturday night is $15.

The two-day event also includes progressive dance and house music from DJ Wolfy, karaoke, and food and drink specials.
