Chef Brian Thurmond Named New Executive Chef at Jack Binion’s Steakhouse inside Horseshoe Tunica

TUNICA, MISS., August 21, 2018 – Local restauranteur and Memphis native, chef Brian Thurmond was recently named Executive Chef at Horseshoe Tunica’s Jack Binion’s Steakhouse. Thurmond graduated from L’École Culinaire in Memphis working his way up to Chef de Cuisine at Restaurant Iris before eventually opening his own restaurant, 148 North, on the Collierville town square.

“We are very excited to welcome Brian Thurmond to the Horseshoe Tunica family as our new chef at Jack Binion’s Steakhouse,” said R. Scott Barber, Regional President, Caesars Mid-South. “Brian’s impeccable culinary background and unique cooking style will add great flavor to our restaurant.”

With a cooking style Thurmond describes as Southern French, the new Jack Binion’s chef loves to use seasonal ingredients and plans to offer top-of-the-line meat options, including wagyu beef. From shrimp & grits with bacon, creole butter sauce, red peppers, fresh green onion and parsley to seasonal salads including greens, kales, arugulas, goat cheese, beets, pumpkin seeds, and champagne vinaigrette among others, Thurmond plans to update the fall menu with rich foods that complement each other and allow customers to indulge in the legendary casino with legendary plates.
