Tops Bar-B-Q, a Memphis Bar-B-Q institution for over 72 years, recently added three new chicken sandwiches to their menu that has only offered pork and beef as their main protein choices for years.

Customers may now choose between the smoky chicken sandwich for $4,99, spicy chicken sandwich for $5.99, or the sloppy chicken sandwich for $5.99 at all 17 Tops locations.

“Our customers have known Tops as the place to get great bar-b-q and burgers at a good value in the Memphis area for over 72 years, but we know some people may want different options, so we had fun creating these unique and flavorful chicken sandwiches. We do want to warn you, we love the sauce combinations on these sandwiches, so they could get a little sloppy, especially the aptly named Sloppy Chicken sandwich,” said Randy Hough, CEO of Tops Bar-B-Q.

The Smoky Chicken sandwich features Tops’ smoked chicken sitting on a bed of pickles and topped with Tops’ new Memphis white sauce.

The Spicy Chicken Sandwich features Tops’ smoked chicken on a bed of thick, crunchy, hot pickles and topped with Tops’ Original Hot Bar-B-Q sauce plus the Tops’ Memphis White Sauce.

The Sloppy Chicken Sandwich features Tops’ smoked chicken sitting on a grilled pineapple and topped with Tops’ new exclusive to this sandwich, sweet, sloppy sauce.

Tops offers classic slow-smoked real pit Memphis-style Bar-B-Q cooked on-site with green hickory wood, cooked-to-order award-winning burgers, and traditional sides and desserts. Customers can choose from Bar-B-Q pork sandwiches, Bar-B-Q ribs, Bar-B-Q beef brisket, Bar-B-Q bologna, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, turkey burgers, chicken sandwiches, Bar-B-Q Nachos, Bar-B-Q beans, coleslaw, potato salad, French fries, potato chips, apple turnovers, and banana pudding. Tops also offers family meal packs for small groups and full-service catering for larger groups and events.
